Northants Greyhound Rescue was established in 2000 to provide a rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming service to retired, abandoned and unwanted greyhounds, primarily in the Northamptonshire and surrounding area.

These have recently included instances of a dog in a skeletal state; one with broken limbs; one covered in open wounds and bites; others with sight or hearing impairment; some with partial paralysis; instances of acute laryngeal paralysis; many suffering from severe flea allergy; in addition to all the dogs injured in road traffic accidents.
Although we are based in Northamptonshire, we carry out our welfare work throughout the country. In our kennels we often have dogs from Ireland, Scotland, Surrey, Hampshire and Kent. We have also taken in Irish-
